Frequently Asked Questions

I want to offer you the most personal, attentive care I can. When insurance is involved, a lot gets decided by the insurance company rather than by us. This can include how many sessions you're allowed, what required diagnosis gets attached to your case, and what kind of therapy is covered. I'd rather our work together be shaped collaboratively by what feels helpful and at your pace. Staying outside the insurance system also better protects your privacy.
Working privately also means you were able to choose to work with me as opposed to selecting from a limited pool of clinicians covered by your insurance plan. The connection between client and therapist matters in therapy because it is often the relationship itself, more than any technique, that makes the work meaningful.
I have found that this kind of care tends to hold up over time. The consistency, clarity, tailored treatment, and connection allow people to grow in how they show up in relationships, at work, and with themselves. I want to be able to provide the safe space and unhurried process that cultivates this.
If cost is a concern, I do keep a limited number of sliding-scale spots available, so please don't hesitate to reach out and ask.

Yes! I offer both online and in person sessions. Both have their pros and cons and if you are unsure, I am happy to discuss which might be the best fit for you.

I reserve a limited number of spots for sliding scale fees. Availability depends on capacity and client need. If you have more questions, I encourage you to reach out! I always want people to get the support they need, so we can talk through what feels financially manageable for you.

We will talk briefly about what is bringing you to therapy, I’ll share a little about me and how I like to work, and I will answer any questions you have. The consultation is a free, 15-minute, low pressure call rather than a therapy session. This is a chance to see if we're a good fit without obligation.

I work with children, teens, adults, and families.Whether you're seeking support for yourself, your child, or your whole family system, I tailor the way I work to fit each client and what you need most. Therapy is not one size fits all.
