About Me

I’m Carrie Glaser, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Associate based in Los Angeles, CA. I’ve always been drawn to stories—how our past experiences and relationships shape who we are today, coming together like puzzle pieces. My early career in the entertainment industry was fueled by this passion, but I eventually realized I wanted to explore people’s stories in a more meaningful and personal way. That realization led me to pursue a career as a therapist, where I now help clients unpack their experiences, process pain, and build more fulfilling lives.

My academic and professional background includes earning a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, after graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from the University of Wisconsin—Madison. I have therapeutic and dietary experience in an eating disorder treatment setting. I completed my clinical training at the Southern California Counseling Center, where I worked with diverse populations facing a wide range of concerns.

I know firsthand how valuable therapy can be. My decision to become a therapist was heavily influenced by my own therapeutic work with a longtime therapist who helped clarify my direction. That experience inspired me to do for others what my therapist did for me and help people envision and achieve the lives they want. Whatever brings you to therapy, my aim is to provide you with the understanding and tools you need to move forward. Whether you're struggling with disordered eating, seeking trauma-informed therapy, navigating relationship difficulties, or looking to build self-confidence and emotional resilience, I’m here to join you in this journey.

My Approach

As a therapist, I strive to create a safe, non-judgemental therapeutic environment through warmth, empathy, and authenticity. My goal is to build a meaningful therapeutic relationship that offers a sense of safety and trust. I believe that authentic therapeutic connection can be among the most powerful forces for change. Together, we’ll explore your past, process your present, and imagine a future that aligns with what you truly want. My integrative approach draws from Attachment Theory, Family Systems, parts work, and evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). These approaches can help reduce distressing symptoms such as anxiety, depression, overwhelm, or disordered eating, while also creating space for deeper insight and long-term healing.

Therapy is a collaborative process. My role is to guide and support you while helping you recognize the resilience, strengths, and inner resources you already have. I specialize in working with adults, teens, and young adults experiencing eating disorders and body image concerns, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. I also have a particular passion for supporting women as they navigate challenges related to self-esteem, identity, relationships, and family dynamics. Together, we may explore themes such as childhood experiences, core beliefs, boundaries, and values, always at a pace that feels right for you.

If you’re looking for a therapist in Los Angeles who offers a compassionate, relational approach to treating anxiety, eating disorders, relationship issues, and life transitions, I may be a good fit.
